Details & Origin

This glossy handbag is made of vinyl and coated with transparent enamel. This style of handbag is usually associated with the most formal kimono outfits, the furisode (the equivalent of evening gown in the western closet). The fabric is embossed with subtle kimono motifs of maple leaves, momiji, and cherry blossoms, sakura, and pine needles, matsuba.

The golden background has a subtle gradation with warm pink hues at the top of the bag, and mustard yellow gold towards the bottom. The material is highly reflective and the gold hues vary in a different environments. The inside is made of plain off-white satin, with 2 small inner pockets.

Another pocket, a larger slit pocket, is visible from the back of the bag.

The bag opens and closes with a magnetised snap button.

Condition

Used. Good conditions. Slightly worn off on the top corners as you can see from the photos.
