Details & Origin

This vintage clutch is made of traditional Japanese textiles, woven from silk and lamé threads which together give this bag a very particular shine. You can notice the bag changes colours in different lights, The tangerine and light khaki background becomes gold.

On the front part of the bag, the motif represents chrysanthemums and bamboo leaves and grass. In the background, a gradation of light orange and pink hues is sprinkled with silver and copper flakes. The delicate gradation and the metallic flakes also appear on the backside of the bag.

The inside is made of plain silk satin with 2 small inner pockets. The whole bag is consolidated with a sturdy structure.

It opens and closes with a chiselled knob clasp.

The bag can be worn with or without the golden chain handle, which is designed to be retracted inside the bag easily.
