Details & Origin
This vintage clutch is made of traditional Japanese textiles, woven from silk and lamé threads, which together give this bag a very particular shine. You can notice the bag changes colours in different lights. Though it’s gold, it sometimes appears as if it were silver.
The inside is made of plain silk satin, and the whole clutch is consolidated with a sturdy structure.
The motif on the front is embroidered with golden threads. It represents an abstract flower, and the design evokes the art of mizuhiki, the paper and metal threads that are used to decorate envelopes and offerings.
Condition
Used. Good condition except for a stain on the back of the bag (see last photo). It doesn’t show when it’s worn, but the price is calculated a bit cheaper for this reason.
