Vintage kimono clutch - black rosettes
Vintage item
Details & Origin
This vintage kimono clutch is made from jacquard woven silk which gives it a very special sheen. You can see that the bag changes colour depending on how the light hits it, and although it looks different in some photos, the colour is black.
The motif depicts abstract flowers arranged in rosettes and the Buddhist symbol manji.
Clutches like this one, which are made entirely of black fabric, were originally designed for funeral ceremonies and are meant to be elegant but sober. Their monochrome texture makes them look so modern. The inside is made of monochrome silk twill and the entire clutch has a sturdy structure.
Condition
Used item, good condition. Has a halo of light on the front, probably due to humidity. As you can see in the middle of the third photo, the stain is not too obvious, but you will definitely see it once you know it. Otherwise, no visible damage. The price is calculated accordingly.
