Details & Origin

This vintage hand pouch is made of traditional Japanese textiles. It was originally designed for children, to accessorize a kimono outfits. With its bold print, I think they can make beautiful clutch for older girls as well ! I’ve added a removable chain so you can also wear it on your shoulder or as a cross body.

It’s the perfect size to carry the very essentials: your phone, small wallet, keys, lip balm. You can check the exact dimensions of the bag below.

The motif represents 3 zakuri: the reels of silk thread traditionally used by textile artisans. Yu can see an image below for your reference. On the motif of the bag, they are represented covered with flowers of various colours.

Fabric

Often produced by Obi artisans, but unlike most Obi fabrics, these accessory textiles (to be used for clutch and shoes) are designed to be strong and resist friction over the years of use. It is woven with lamé threads and synthetic silk imitation.

Condition

Used. Correct conditions apart from one of the side which lost a bit of its color. The orange is lighter is some area as you can see on the 6th photo. The rest of the bag is in good condition.
