Details & Origin

This vintage hand pouch is made of traditional Japanese textiles. It was originally was designed for children to be worn with kimono outfits. With its bold print, I think they can make beautiful clutch for older girls as well ! I’ve added a removable chain so you can also wear it on your shoulder or as a cross body.

It’s the perfect size to carry the very essentials: your phone, small wallet, keys, lip balm. You can check the exact dimensions of the bag below.

The motif represents cherry blossoms in different sizes and colours, arranged before golden wavy lines which symbolize the cherry tree branches.

Fabric

Often produced by Obi artisans, but unlike most Obi fabrics, these accessory textiles (to be used for clutch and shoes) are designed to be strong and resist friction over the years of use. It is woven with lamé threads and synthetic silk imitation.

Condition

Used. Correct conditions with a few defaults that made its price lower: the frame is. a bit worn off in some places, one of the side is stained and the lining is sprinkled with humidity dots. (see photos)
