Dance paper fan - Pine tree monochrome

Details & Origin

This fan is designed as a traditional dancing accessory, and can also be appreciated as a decorative object. Both faces are identical. The paper is covered with silver foil and a monochrome painting representing a pine tree. The thin needles and all elements are handpainted identically on both sides.

A piece of lean is encrusted in the bamboo slats on each side which gives the dancer a better sensation when holding the fan during the performance.

Condition

Used. Thin scratches here and there du to use but nothing too visible as you can see on the photos. The colour is a bit darkened on the edges. Good conditions othervwise.
