Mikan original bumbag, combining a vintage obi made of silk and 24K gold lamé, and new materials.

The motif represented is a rich mix of flowers and traditional elements. The wisterias and peonies evoke spring, the plum blossoms the end of Winter, and the chrysanthemums are a very auspicious symbol. In the background, you can see a lot of smaller motifs such as waves, geometrical flower shapes called hanabishi, and Cranes flying on the side of the bag.

Materials

  • Front: Nishijin-ori jacquard silk & 24K gold lamé

  • Back : resistant 3D mesh polyester & nylon mix, pink

  • Silver zipper

  • Wide, adjustable and removable nylon strap (5 cm x 170 cm / 1.9 in x 67 in), striped off-white, light brown and blue, with a gold buckle. Can be changed on request for a plain buckle; please get in touch when placing your order.
