Bumbag - Ise festival
Mikan original creation.
This bum bag is a combination of antique Japanese textiles and new materials. It is handcrafted in my studio in Kyoto.
Details
The main fabric comes from an antique obi and is made of silk. The motif represents the shopping streets of an old town, supposedly Ise, during a festival. This fabric is also available for custom orders so you can read about the motif more in detail here.
The back of the bag is made in a lightweight 3D mesh which allows the bag to take minimum space when not full and perfectly fit against your body.
The adjustable strap allows you to wear it as a bum bag or a crossbody bag.
