Mikan workshop in Kyoto last April
If you missed them on my Instagram posts, here are some of the beautiful creations made by the participants…
What a great pleasure, after a year and a half, to be able to organize some sewing workshops in Kyoto again!
This time, the event took place in an old ryokan located in the Gojo Rakuen district, North of Kyoto station: Yadoya Hiraiwa. Remaining empty since the beginning of the pandemic, the location was a perfect match for Mikan! Participants appreciated the workshop taking place in a historical location, which adds to the experience.
If you are curious to know more about the renovation of old building in Kyoto, I will be sharing an interview of the owner of this building soon, stay tuned…
For now, let’s see what was created during the workshops!
Most participants were using a sewing machine for the first time and were gladly surprised by the quality of the bag they made! Equal to one they would have purchased.
If you are inspired by what the participants created, you can find some DIY kits in my store that will allow you to create the same at home.
