Winter Camellia
Motif
The main motif represents colourful Camellia flowers, in a silver circle, surrounded by subtle plum blossoms in pink frozen colours. In the background we can see silver flakes sprinkled here and there, and towards the bottom of the motif, very sublte Rinpa waves appear. At the very top, the background fades into a scaly square pattern representing gold leaves (here silver), as if they were applied on the fabric, another tribute to the Rinpa art style I believe.
The main element of the obi motif: a gorgeous arrangement of Camellias

In-person workshop in Kyoto
If you are visiting Kyoto and would like to spend some time discovering these fabrics in person, you are welcome to visit my studio.
Together, we will design your bag from A to Z. You will choose your favourite obi and even cut the fabric yourself, selecting the exact part of the motif you love most.
I will then carefully sew and finish your bag and ship it to you once it is complete.
